I was working all day in the shop yesterday trying to clear a path to bring in a new machine.  I was tired, but when a buddy asked if I want to go fishing I said, "You Betcha!"  I probably shouldn't have.  I was tired and it kind of lead to a bad attitude on my part.  I did stick an absolute monster, but it changed directions, wrapped me up on a tulie clump and popped off.  My buddy on the other hand did okay.  He didn't catch any toads, but he did get most of them in the boat.  The worm in the picture is what he caught most of his fish on.  It is NOT a "trick" worm.  It's a Hex Worm

Anyway, I have never actually fished that worm.  No kidding.  I made the mold months ago and had my buddy test it.  He said the first time he used it he slayed with it, and yesterday it was certainly the worm that landed the most and biggest fish.  Mostly he was dragging it over the tops of the submerged grass slowly, but a number of his bites were explosive top water strikes as he surfaced the worm before dragging it over vegetation.

I got a few strikes flipping Club-Os, and had some swirls on a Curly Buzz Frog, but I failed on execution.  He caught all the fish.  I thought he was yanking my leg when he started throwing the largest version of that worm, but he caught plenty of bites on it.
