I'm working on that.  I've increased the gate size on the Mini Crank and for the Mini Flat Crank (thinner version of Mini Crank, not ready to go yet), and I am working on a tool that might help.

I made a few cast resin bait attempts.  They aren't to bad, but you have to have a large gate into the cavity, and once you add microspheres to make a floating additive its hard to get good pours.  I had better luck with sinking type baits similar to sonics or straps.  Before you add anything it pours okay.  Also some resins have a lower viscosity and longer pot life.  Sometimes a different formula can help, but then you still have whatever you had before taking up room on the shelf.

Quote from: CNC Molds N Stuff on Jan 10, 2026, 02:17 PMThat's fair.  I have been wanting to do a start to finish video or video series on making the mini crank, but I'm working on a flat side version of the mini crank, and I was waiting until I had that dialed in before jumping on it.

So, when you do start making resin baits will you tell us what resin is your favorite and why?  LOL.

To be honest, if you show me how to get good results I'm just going to use whatever you use?

Quote from: Blind Squirrel on Jan 10, 2026, 02:13 PMI've been waiting for you to release a video or atleast a detail instruction set on making your mini crank bait.  I'd like to get started making resin baits, but if you recall I only got into making soft plastics because of all the help you offered back in the day on Yuma Bass Man. I'm semi retired now, and I don't mind experimenting a little, but I still have obligations.  I don't really have the time to figure it all out from scratch.  I know I sound like one of those needy newbies who wants every detail spoon fed, but that's not really what I am asking.  I just want a good start on it.
