Casting Metals Sources

I'll link this post this in the Cast Metal Bait & Tackle Section, but I am posting here, because my latest round of information came from a totally different field of study. 

I will not include the cheapy sources except briefly.  Tire shops, junk yards, plumbers, sailboat scrappers, roofers, automotive wheels, heads, and engine blocks etc.  I do not count those because I want any process I perform to be consistent and repeatable.  I'm not saying don't use the.  I'm saying be aware that I can't spend hundreds of hours chasing down issues with any salvage metal you choose to use.

Alloys are not exact, but it is very clean, manageable sizes ingot, and sorted according to hard, soft, plumbing, and hardball.  They tend to be a little cheaper than other commercial sources, and they offer quantity discounts for large orders. 

Roto Metals

Alloys are very well documented, and available in a wide variety of configurations from loose shot to large ingots.  The sell Zinc/Zamak, Lead, Bismuth, Tin, various Pewter alloys, and a number of other metals.  They tend to be a little more expensive, but not prohibitively, and the consistency in some of my projects is worth not dealing with unknowns. 

Rio Grande Metals

They appear to be primarily a jewelry metal supplier, but it looks like they have more than just precious metals. I am including them because somebody I respect in the metal casting world mentioned them as a source for some casting work.   

Belmont Metals

I mention these for the same reason as listed above.  They were mentioned by a metal caster I respect.  In particular they seem to have a decent price on bronze alloy which is something thing I have been looking into recently for a non-tackle related project.  The also appear to be a jewelry related metals supplier that provides more than just precious metals. 

If you have direct experience with other metal casting suppliers you think have some worthwhile attributes in price, quality, or easy of use please feel free to add them in a reply below.  I'll check them out.  Thank you.
