CNC Molds N Stuff

I have been jonesing to fish lately.  I haven't really had the time.  Between business and personal my obligations are overwhelming.  Yesterday with to much of the afternoon shot from other obligations to get much of anything done in the shop I headed out for the canal bank.

Of course, I turned down a road I often take ignoring the signs that have been there for weeks letting me know the road was closed.  After I realized my mistake, I compounded it traveling all the way to the barricades hoping for a way around to no avail.  It was later in the afternoon, and I burned up valuable daylight with a totally unnecessary detour.  Other routes I could have taken were no longer.

Finally on a good path, I found my way to my first fishing decision.  Upstream or downstream?  With a little more time, I might have driven around starting further downstream and fished both sections.  I went upstream.  There are a couple places in that direction that have been above 50% catch rates, and a couple that are close.  Knowing I didn't have all afternoon to fish I just hit the best spots, or rather, the best spots for me.  I didn't hit subtle bumps in the bank or the inside or outside of curves.  Just the biggest most obnoxious cover and structure that everybody can see.

Nothing.

I hope you had a better Monday afternoon on the water.
